Bunker Henrietta Street, corner of school (Eimsbüttel)

This bunker can probably be counted rightly to the group of specimens uglier. He is obviously as a carrier of wireless antennas. He is probably about World War II and the Cold War also provided as a "public shelter" as the sign of him besfestigte shows. That would mean that the bunkers are maintained with its ventilation system and will continue to learn and thus for an indefinite period probably no conversion in favor of aesthetics.

Bunker Fruchtallee (Eimsbüttel)

Location: Fruchtallee 84 (Eimsbüttel)
The days of this shelter are counted. This is the picture of my brother's construction equipment, complete demolition. On the resulting space is a retirement and nursing homes to be built. Sun return the old back to a place of their youth. The testimony of a construction worker, according to the demolition was by no means difficult. The concrete was indeed thick but porous and decrepit. Last apparently had a garage at their residence to the bunker.

Bunker Allende-Platz (Eimsbüttel)

Comment: no words ...

Bunker Hills star (St. Pauli)

Location: Sternschanze 7
Year: 1940
Type: Zombeck
Use: home to the "home club VFL Hammonia v. 1922 eV" is the venue of the association itself (see image on the left leaves room and fencing) adjacent to the bunker.

Literature:

  • Schmal, Helga and Selke, Tobias, bunker - and Luftschutzbau air raid in Hamburg. With the collaboration Henning von Angerer and Ilse Rüttgerodt-Riechmann. Published by the Department of Culture and the Archaeological Service. Hamburg, 2001.

Bunker Wiesendamm (Barmbek)

Location: Wiesendamm 7 (U-/S-Bahnhof Barmbek - Barmbek North)
Type: Zombeck
Year: 1939
Use: A strong recognize old faded lettering on the facade of advertising suggests that either the bunker was used only as storage for upholstered furniture, or even as a furniture store with sale. At present, however, the building appears to be unused.
Comment: The imperial eagle was indeed denazified properly, but is otherwise undamaged still above the entrance to Meadow Dam. He also was fancier, he was apparently too every now and then whitewashed. That the city but it deigns to support the initiative of the History Workshop, is obviously a pipe dream. Hamburg is pumping money into the Elbe Philharmonic much better.

Bunker Schellingstraße (Hamburg Eilbek)

Location: Schelling, corner Wielandstraße (Eilbek)
Usage: not known
Comment: Also here it shows the very awkward-looking approach to the city with their bunkers: The planting of trees makes the sight of the bunker is not much more tolerable, and neither the Weißtünchen. So expensive but can not be tearing and even then it should be worth a city that holds a little something in it. At least one conversion should be possible ( see Toni Street ). The sale to private investors would be even a possibility.

Toni Bunker Road (Hamburg Eilbek)

Location: Toni Street 10 (Eilbek)
Use: 1 Archive and storage area 2 contains the flat roof of the bunker later built two residential units
Comment: Only on second glance to recognize a former air raid shelter. Apparently it is therefore not an insoluble problem, to break through the walls and windows add precisely. The building is still in full swing. It is a very quiet residential area in a cul de sac overlooking the Jacobi Park, which is by stone steps of the impasse reached directly, though a favorite with consumers of alcohol.
